Durian Stall Figurine Set

SKU: SH032
S$288.00Price
  • The Durian: A Southeast Asian tropical fruit that is often dubbed as ‘King of Fruits’ and prized as a delicacy in Singapore and Malaysia. Whenever durian season came around in the early days, sidewalks and roads would be clogged with makeshift stalls and crowds of customers.

Our miniature durian stall figurine set is depicted from the 1970s, complete with customers dressed in the clothing and hairstyles of that era.

The durian seller, sporting a permed “curry pok” hairdo, mans his stall whilst puffing on a cigarette. A customer, dressed in a retro pastel-coloured shirt and bell-bottom pants, is picking out durians, whilst a father and son sit nearby digging in. It is a unique and attractive set that is sure to be a nostalgic keepsake for all.
