Clog making was an olden trade that originated in China, where the majority of Singapore’s early immigrants were from. During the early days in Singapore, clog makers commonly set up shop in Chinatown, but sometimes also brought their wares out in baskets to sell.

Our collectible figurine depicts a Chinese clog maker sitting in his shop and working on a pair of clogs. Two shelves lined with clogs and a few other accessories complete the set up. It is designed to be placed inside our Singapore Heritage Shophouse building model (sold separately), but displays beautifully as a standalone piece as well.
