CHIJ Girls Playing Five Stones Figurines

SKU: SH018
S$61.00Price
  • CHIJ, or, Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus, is one of the schools in Singapore with longstanding history. It was established in 1854 by Father Jean-Marie Beurel, a French Catholic priest who was in Singapore founding St. Joseph’s Institution at the time, together with four sisters lead by Mother Mathilde Raclot.

Our miniature collectible figurines depict two girls in the CHIJ school uniform, engrossed in a game of five stones – a popular childhood game played by many before the days of game consoles and television.
